About me



I'm fascinated by all things concerning play in the design realm. This fascination has led me to explore various aspects of the play sphere: from my design university projects - all imbued with playful interactions, to my research work with Monobit Games, startup founded to push the cultural and technological boundaries of the videogame medium. Most recently with my MSc in games at the IT University of Copenhagen. I aim to design play and to play with design: game experiences are enriched by user centered thinking and project methodology, and our every day lives could use the ease and instinctive nature derived from play.

Skills

Games and Play

Trained in design and development. I have both a game and general design education, as well as being familiar with Unity, Unreal and other engines.

Narratives

Passion for narrative structures. I have experience in transmedia storytelling and competence with game narrative tools (Ink, Twine, YarnSpinner).

Research

During my academic journey and experience at the ludotainment startup Monobit Games, I learned how to conduct both qualitative and, thorugh data analysis, quantitative research.

UI/UX for Games

I design and implement game interfaces using UX theory and the Adobe suite. My design knowledge leads me to the application of UX principles for the improvement of play.

The Intelligence, an AI powered tarot reader, uses three different AIs to give you a machine generated divination.

Dear Neighbour

Knit around your neighbourhood and give works of wisdom. I did the narrative and UI design for this cozy grandma knitting simulator.

Underneath

The game is a 2D platform with a precision demanding, control system. I was part of the team in the early stages of concepting and prototyping.


Other works

Center for Digital Play

Together with graphic designer Helena Ruão we gave the Center of Digital Play at the IT University of Copenhagen a new brand image, inclusive of website and logos for each department.

AUT AUT

Together with fellow students at Politecnico di Torino we designed a playful tactile fairytale to be produced using a single sheet of cardboard. The product was developed for a fundraiser of UGI, Italian no-profit working with families affected by children with cancer.
